Standardized Contrast Sensitivity Tests (test distance: 8 feet)

CSV-1000E

CSV-1000E

CSV-1000E provides a complete contrast sensitivity curve with four spatial frequencies (3, 6, 12 and 18 cycles/degree). A randomized version is also available.

CSV-1000S

CSV-1000S

CSV-1000S measures acuity from 20/200 to 20/15, two spatial frequencies of contrast sensitivity (6 and 12 cycles/degree) and offers a real-world driver’s scene.

CSV-1000RS

CSV-1000RS

CSV-1000RS provides ETDRS acuity from 20/100 to 20/10 and one spatial frequency of contrast sensitivity (12 cycles/degree). The test is excellent for a quick pre-or post-surgery screening.

CSV-1000HGT

The CSV-1000HGT combines glare testing and contrast sensitivity to provide accurate evaluation of vision loss and glare symptoms in cataract patients.

Cataract Evaluation

Contrast sensitivity in the presence of glare is the most accurate measure of vision loss due to cataracts. Using the CSV-1000HGT, contrast sensitivity and glare are tested together to determine the “realworld” vision of cataract patients.

Disease Evaluation

Dozens of published research studies now show that contrast sensitivity testing with the CSV-1000 is an important tool for early detection and treatment management of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration patients.

Quality of Vision

The CSV-1000 is widely used to assess the quality of vision provided by refractive surgery and new IOL technology. It is used to accurately quantify the level of visual performance, manage treatment and better educate patients.
